My first order ever from Hausermann

I'm not sure why, other than never coming across them at a show, but I have never given Orchids by Hausermann a try until now. In my search for a Leptotes bicolor for this years member project, I invested some time to investigate their offerings and liked what I saw.

I ordered the bicolor and then, just because I had to because to order only 1 plant makes one long for greater satisfaction, I ordered 10 other plants.

Mounts- Leptotes bicolor, Barkeria whartoniana, Macropodanthus cootesii, Vandopsis parishii & Seidenfadenia mitrata.

Yup-----they're mostly seedlings and probably1-4 years away from blooming but they are super healthy looking and for an average price of $17 (that includes shipping), I'm really happy and they are better and bigger than I was expecting for the price. I think Hausermann is providing great value for the money. There are not too many places where you can walk away with 11 plants for $190 with shipping rolled in. As a matter of fact, I can think of exactly zero!

I highly recommend them and will absolutely be a repeat customer.

I've always found them extremely helpful as well.

If you ever want to impress somebody with a huge, perfectly packed and shipped, floofy Cattleya in bud or bloom, they are the people. Call them and ask what they have, any time of the year.

Keys - Agree 100%. I order from Hausermann's frequently. Plants are generally VERY healthy, although the cheaper ones are oftentimes young and fragile. On two occasions plants had cold damage during transport, and once a leaf was broken. I sent pics of the damaged plants and they processed a refund immediately - no questions asked. Excellent customer service!

I bought from them and most of mine were extremely healthy and the prices seem in line with others. I got a Phal. Mituo King Bellina, Onc. Sharry Baby, two Neof. falcata, and Drac. diabola, but the leaves on the Drac. had lots of black spots which now have yellow rings growing out from them. I'm considering cutting those off to stop the infection but it won't have many leaves if I do. I'll contact them and see what they do, it's been quite a while since they arrived but the younger leaves are pretty much perfect if a little yellowish. The leaves with problems were damaged on arrival but I didn't realize at the time how it would progress. All the others are in good health.

Oh and I used their web form to contact them about an issue with my Sharry Baby which was FedEx's doing and not Hausermanns, and it turned out to be minor but I didn't know at the time it would just be a cosmetic issue. I haven't managed to find the time to call them yet but I'll ask about both issues when I do and I will either reply here if it makes sense to build one Hausermann thread or I'll post my own if that's preferable.

This thread escaped my notice when it was new a couple months ago, but I'll chime in now and say I think Hausermann's is a great vendor! I've only ordered from them a few times, but I always get beautiful, healthy plants for a very fair price.

I tend to like their tiny mounted plants. may not ever bloom but the foliage looks good in my orchid tank.

Bought a Zygopetalum Jumpin Jack from them back in October and it looks great and is growing! They seem awesome and have provided feedback when I emailed them. If you are thinking of ordering a new orchid it seem from my experience and what others say, they are a really good bet!
