also yes, experiencing live bluegrass is something totally different. growing up my dad would take my sister and i to the eagles club in flat rock, michigan, where ALL the bluegrass greats would come thru. tiny little club with picknic tables and a dirt floor. i just remember falling asleep on those tables with people hootin and hollerin and the mando would be twanging away....man, that really does take me back....
got to see the lewis family, the oak ridge boys, bluegrass generation, so so many great players...
anyway, sorry, back to orchids!!!!!

Thank you! Here is an update / clarification:
The initial refusal to pay for the 2 black dowianas was a communication error on their part, they meant to ask me to pay for the Dominiana, which makes sense bc it has a chance to live. I did have to argue for them to refund shipping and they ultimately refunded the whole cost. Ultimately they refunded the whole cost, which was the correct resolution.
The leaf that was left remaining on the phal gigantea turned to mush overnight, so its a goner. I pulled the encylcia out of the trash, threw it in some bark, and stuck it waaaaay in the back. Maybe in a couple years I will be glad I saved it.
Cool to connect with folks on this forum on other interests too! I can't wait to see some shows this summer. Very much looking forward to an event called the Northwest String Summit (sadly its 20th and final year).
