I'm also highly interested to see a coerulea dowiana hybrid; it's definitely not common, although I have noticed several coerulea Hardyanas floating around the internet!

I've got 15 young dowiana rosita seedlings (H&R compot) that I'm very interested in growing to maturity and blooming, but I'd love to get my hands on some aureas. Dowiana is really something, and since I grow my plants in a tent, it's easy to give them the conditions that make them fairly easy plants to grow (I hope).

1 Cattleya dowiana
1 Cattleya dowiana aurea
1 Encyclia randii
1 Dendrobium sulcatum
1 Phalaenopsis gigantea
1 Cattleya Dominiana (1859) coerulea

I got a C. dowiana, Masd. datura, and a C. Marilyn Lew.

It almost seems like the photos for the dowiana and the dowiana var. aurea were switched on the site. The regular dowiana was on sale and much cheaper so I stuck to that. I was tempted to get a Cattleya iricolor or Fulvescens also.

You know, I was a bit hesitant about getting the HR compot and just got one seedling. I regret it now - it's very vigorous! I also got a couple from Ben O. which are also growing like a weed.

I just grow them in the living room, where temps have fallen too low for dowiana/rex seedlings and... had a bad experience. I've raised the temps in my home and it was fine this winter!

I got one from SVO too!

I ordered the C. Marilyn Lew 2 weeks ago.

I ordered a iricolor from them Feb 2021, it has bloomed 3 times.

I received a Fulvacens from them a week ago.

I can't grow Masdevallias in my environment lol.

Clearly you have excellent taste

I can’t grow Masdevallias either but, that won’t stop me from buying them every so often.

The Trichopilia fragrans they have are nice too.

How fragrant is the iricolor by the way?

Maybe I’ll go to their pop-up show in the city in June.

I ordered a Trichopilia Fragrans (as well as trichopilia sauvis) from them about 2 years ago, big happy plants. I kept them under too bright of light and almost killed them, made a change in time, and now they are both really happy. Sauvis bloomed for me last year (awesome visually and olfactory), expecting they both will bloom this year based on the looks of them.

Iricolor is the strongest fragranced cattleya in my experience, but it is a weird fragrance. It reminds me of the smell when you open a pack of lunch meat but my GF disagrees. A OB member recently described it as sweeten olive oil smell, which my GF thought was more accurate. The flowers are nicer looking than I expected, they have a very graceful shape IMO (the bottom sepals twist in a symmetrical way). The plant I got from Ecua was huge and bloomed a month after I got it.

In bloom now:

You can pre-order for delivery to shows and popups. At checkout choose to pick up rather than have shipped and scroll down through the list of events. The delivery charge for a given order is less than the shipping charge would be. Each event shows the order deadline.

Cattleya Arcadio Arosemena
Rex x Iricolor
