I'm not planning on getting a vanilla plant right now but I want to thank you for your ongoing work in sharing interesting/helpful/etc. info you find online and gather from in-person meetings and talks. It's a labor of love. I'm sure I'm not the only person that appreciates your efforts.

Just picked up a giant cutting of Vanilla pompona from Orquideas Amazonicas at the society show/sale. its about 5 feet long and as thick as my thumb. I was trying to figure out what medium to put it in and that link gave some tips. Thanks ES!
