asendorfer orchideenzucht
hey all. i had to post a little blurb about asendorfer, as this was our first time ordering from them. first, the plant i convinced the significant other that we needed arrived in decent shape. it was quite expensive, and as such i am being very very critical. if it was any of our normally priced phals that we get, it would be a solid reception. however, this plant shows some sign of recovering from an acute mite bite problem, with some critical areas on 2 of the oldest leaves. the spots look like they could develop into a problem if not careful. the 2 newest leaves each have a small bite out of the leaf margins close to the base....which also looks like it might be from mites, but not totally sure. there are some small mechanical damage blemishes, but from a phal as large as this i guess that’s to be expected. the phal is potted in large/course bark that, judging by a thin algae coat has probly been there for a minute.
the plus side tho is the turnaround time. we did a bank transfer on sunday, and the plant arrived first thing today (tuesday), so that’s pretty amazing. we did not receive any emails from asendorfer confirming the purchase or that it was sent, and it came so fast that dhl sent a tracking number about 10 minutes before it actually arrived. honestly im quite confused by that, but i ain’t complaining! the plant was wrapped and packaged very well and arrived safely. so hats off to asendorfer for great shipping systems.
all in all we are pretty happy with this orchid and we would recommend asendorfer to a friend. their selection is ok/good, and they have a few key things that peeps might be after that it seems nobody else has. this thing better flower like crazy tho, and soon, or im in the doghouse with the girl!! 🐶
thanks, and have a great one all!
