But just word of warning I feel one single one did bloom itself to death trying to do this. It looked very young with an immature stem just like yours and it was eager to bloom after which it had no more energy and it was the last thing it did.
I know that doesn't help much. You will either snip it and wonder if I'm chattng rubbish or you will leave it and think I', chatting rubbish or you will leave it and discover the same thing happens. It didn't happen to all and maybe it had another underlyng issue but it seemed like it bloomed and then died shortly after. Mine didn't have good roots so that will have played a big part in it

That is great info right there! I don't know other plants from them, having ordered only phals. Thx for the tip! Now i'm almost glad that the little bellina decided to dry its first bud

Lucky you!! I'm looking forward to seeing what you got.
Also heard through the grapevine that you are expecting another package from Germany soon, if it hasn't arrived already? I'm waiting for mine, I also ordered!

Camille,
SIIIII, I'm really looking forward to seeing all my new acquisitions.
I think I have gotten out of hand shopping these days. Maybe is a little post-summer depression that has given me wanting MORE & MORE!
Some of the orchids that my friends have bought, including you, I have also ordered and I love the idea of comparing and also I want to experiment with different setups; this summer I have learned a lot.
PD: Even another dog is on the way = Total 3

More is good! I think we have at least one plant in common, so it will be fun to share information and growing tips!

wow, interesting observation and i couldn’t agree more. for my terrariums i got 2 varieties of aerangis, and both have done practically nothing as well. one is in the true “terrarium”, another is in a wardian case that i have for a few terrarium overflow/training plants. and neither has budged, not even a mm. the ellisii has actually lost a couple roots, when all the other plants in the terrarium have established, bloomed, or died outright, hahahah.
but seriously, love their phals

tmoney, to be honest angraecums are really slow growers anyway so probably not a good example to use.
I like to moan too much. It's quite normal for Angraecums to take a long time to do anything no matter where it is from. Some are doing great.
It's just one that is doing nothing. And they are a bad example to use. What angraecums did you end up getting?
I've got their fastuosa and compactum. Compactum is the one I'm struggling with so could even be my conditions but of course that is never ones first instinct is it
