Nice Ecuagenera order from November 29 2020
I'll make this brief. My phone camera takes poor night shots, so sorry. I ordered some plants from Ecuagenera on Nov 29 2020. They earlier wrote that the plants would not be shipped until February. I'm glad they did that; I had several plant packages arrive late last year, from 10 to 30 days late.
On January 13 I received a notification the plants would be shipped 2-Day Priority Mail January 26 or 27 from Apopka, Florida. I was given the option of upgrading to overnight shipping, but did not choose that, because the southern part of the US has not been very cold recently.
They arrived today, January 30. The heat pack was completely spent. Most appear to be in excellent shape. They are extremely large for the prices I paid. Many are making multiple growths.
Oncidium hyphaematicum has a lot of yellow on the pseudobulbs. It has few leaves, and the ones it has are yellowing. It is making two new growths, which have not yet begun rooting. The sphagnum around the root ball seems moister than that of the other plants. It doesn't look as good as the rest of the plants.
Paphinia herrerae had used all the moisture in the sphagnum moss around the root ball, and the leaves are wilting. It is making a new growth. I haven't grown this before. Based on reading here on Orchid Board before ordering it, I am worried about how dry it has become.
They included two extra plants, duplicates of plants I ordered, Dendrobium griffithianum and Den. thyrsiflorum.
Overall I am quite happy. I will treat them with KelpMax and Inocucor in rain water, and repot tomorrow.

Seca--- if you check the Ecuagenera thread in the vendor feedback forum you'll see I just had a similar experience. All of the Phrags I received have like 5-7 growths and the Cattleya honestly looks like a division. Great plants. I order or buy multiple plants from them every year and they have never disappointed. Not to mention their selection is second to none.
Glad to hear they did the same for you.
ps----- any plants in sphag had that added in Apopka as they have to ship bare root from Ecuador. Soak them good and they'll be fine.

Yes, almost all the large plants I've bought from them have been very good. The very small one, not.

Well I got my order today as well and then some. I’m making a separate thread about my saga but I agree, I love this vendor.
Glad you got some hearty plants, ES

Well, I am worried now.
I ordered some Dendrobiums a month ago, and was advised that they would ship after Feb 1st.
A week ago I received a message, asking me to rate the plants supplied.
However, I have not received anything yet, and the last two weeks we have persistently been 5-15 deg below 32F. If plants are 'in transit' via USPS, I doubt that I will see anything alive.
PS. Today I have to go out to remove 18" of snow from our, and 5 neighbors houses.

Oh no, Kim!
It’ll work out. Just be carful on roofs. Snow is sneaky dangerous

I was asked via E-mail on January 6 to review the plants that shipped Jan 27, so don't give up hope.
I got Dens from them. They are large, beautiful plants.

If they do show up dead don't bother emailing them. Just go to their site and rate the plant poorly, and you will get a response. My plants were lost in the mail for 2.5 weeks and showed up half dead. They didn't respond to daily (increasingly angry) emails for over two weeks. I finally reviewed the items on their site and got resolution almost immediately. Two weeks later I got a reply to my string of emails offering me the refund I had already received.
The customer service was poor but I get a sense it is from being overwhelmed with the new direct shipping model. I don't think there is a seller out there with a better variety, I don't think there is a seller with better prices. Despite my saga I placed another order for these reasons (5 phrags to be shipped this month)
My Feb shipment has not been sent yet

I find that they are pretty responsive. I have three emails for them and the ecuagenra sales address usually gets a reply in a day.
I just got a box with over 60 orchids from them. All but one were in stellar shape. It was split between three of us (but I ended up with 2/3, thanks jerk neighbor) and so I got to inspect over 40 up close and they were great.
I am lucky bc I am so close to their Florida store so I get to avoid a lot of cold issues.
