A shout-out to the Tarzane Group. I just got my order and the plants were SUPERBLY packed. Their specialty is micro and mini orchids - Macroclinium manabinum and Dichaea hystricina were enveloped in plastic cups, anchored so that they could not shift, and still moist - being small and mounted humidity is critical. and they were well-protected. I have bought a few other things in the last few months, and am really impressed with the quality of their plants. Among other things, they also have some of the European terrestrials that are otherwise impossible to find in the US. Prices are reasonable, especially for the quality. I think, among other things, they sell some of Popow's plants - again great for those of us on this side of the pond. I don't think I have seen them mentioned on the OB, so I'm remedying the situation.

I believe that the guy who runs it used to post here as Tommymiami. He was a good guy who posted lots of nice minis.

I also have good experiences with Tarzane orchids. The owner is also a good society speaker.

Got my first order from them today. Very fast shipping (heat pack was still hot, and also free), snug and secure packing, very nice plant!

They also responded very quickly to my email asking to add a calendar to the order before it was shipped (I placed the order before finding out about the calendars).

Hopping on the train here - the only vendor I've ordered from in the past year that has arrived with no pests. Great packing. His prices are on the high side but the health, care and responsiveness makes the prices well worth it.

I just killed an orchid in record time, 2 weeks (Corybas ecarinatus), and emailed him to ask what I was doing wrong. He responded within hours, said it was great timing since he was packing up a 2nd order (their scratch off discount ploy worked very well on me) and would throw in another tuber for me. Above and beyond! Fingers crossed I don't kill the second one!

HELLO BACK ORCHIDBOARD
I am so sorry I completely skipped this platform for past many years, feeling bad especially because this was my first social orchid encounter and great learning experience years ago when I started. Thank you all for such a nice feedback - and this also explains my "distance" here. As years progressed and my passion for miniature orchids became overwhelming with way too many requests, too many speech engagements and other things (articles for various magazines, photos for various books etc.), we have decided to launch our website only a few years ago, mostly to offer opportunity to society members pre order plants prior to my speech. It seemed to be the easiest way how to deal with many requests and worked quite well. Sadly when Covid surprised us all last year, speeches were postponed and we got staked home with many of you doing the same, being safe and responsible, and playing with orchids, building new setups and finally having time to ENJOY our orchid babies. This combined with luck of orchid shows brought many of you to our website and we are beyond grateful for all your support and nice words. I always say, I do wish for every one of our customers to receive their orchids the way I wish I would receive mine years ago when shopping as hobbyist - and in many cases getting horribly packed poor plants. This is why we worked hard and spare no expense to find the best possible ways for these precious fragile miniatures to travel safe and it seems we nailed it - I also personally pack each and every order :-) Thank you all so very much for mentioning us on this board, glad to see many of old familiar names being still part of this board. Please, be all safe and enjoy your orchids! Tomas / Tarzanegroup / Tarzanorchids

Welcome back! I'm still afraid of tiny plants but your Web site has amazing photography!

Thank you - another hobby of mine. I take hours playing with macro photography and having unlimited source now, it is great! Please, contact me via our emails if you ever decide to try one and have any questions.

I'll second the recommendation. I ordered their last L. astrophora, and was very pleased. Nice and secure!

A good-sized plant, for a micro-mini. I was expecting smaller. It has a few new leaves growing in, has clearly flowered at least once, and seems healthy.
