SLO Orchids? Any experience?
Hi,
I can't seem to find any feedback on Slo Orchids, based in CA. Does anyone have any experience placing orders with this vendor? Thanks!

I have never heard them mentioned here or at my Orchid Society. I thought, at first, that you meant SVO Orchids, a place where I have done a few too many orders, recently. If you are a member of Dave's Garden, they might have reviews there about the company.

No no no, not SVO. But the name is so similar to the point of confusion! The vendor in question has orchids at good prices, but I cant find any opinions. I may just have to be the guinea pig myself 🙃

I could not discover any information about them, either, except what was on their facebook and website. Personally, I probably would not order from them, preferring to try to find the orchids from another vendor. I have been burned in the past and am cautious, now. There are so many really great vendors with whom I have done business that I see no reason to take chances without getting good recommendations, first.
If you do decide to order from them, spend only what you are willing to completely lose. Do a small order the first time as a test. That way, if their plants are beautiful and service is fantastic, you will be happily surprised and can order again. If not, you do not lose too much money. Of course, you can always fight the charge on your credit card if they are really bad.
Good luck!

I bought two Cattleya Iricolor from them (no one else had them). They were reasonably priced and both plants were in great health.

I took a quick look and most of the things that caught my eye were out of stock. I'll have another look when I have more time.

When did you get the iricolor? Have they bloomed yet? I got a couple from Ecuagenera a few months back.

Been ordering from them for about 5yrs and totally satisfied. Plants are clean, packaged well but are young and small. Any losses I've experienced were from my inadequate culture. They do have a nice selection,IMO.

I got them about 8 months ago and they were 2 years to bloom seedlings. They are doing well, each have put on two new growths. Cant wait to smell the bloom, hopefully next year.

The fragrance is unusual for a Cattleya, and overwhelmingly powerful.

At least SLO orchids has a location! FAST orchids (aka fast fresh orchids - (link)) on the other hand doesn't appear to reveal any location.
Nice to hear good comments here about SLO.
