It was my first order with them and I was being cautious. I did another order last month and ordered 4 plants, still less than 5, though.
The Neofinetia I received was looking good but recently dropped most of its leaves. Maybe I'm not watering it enough? I'm hoping that it recovers.

Nothing super spectacular. More Tolumnia to torture. And a phal duplicate of one I have. Want to mount it. Because as I've said numerous times... I'll never have another mounted orchid!

I just received another beautiful order from them last week. We could drive there but, it's cheaper and easier to ship.

I would love to drive there and visit their nursery in person, but it's a long drive from Texas, so I'd have to buy A LOT of plants to make it worth it (and I drive a Ford F150, so I've got plenty of room), so I think it's better than I don't go haha

It's quite the place, well worth the trip for me. It's not too bad if you take 355 north. Then you can stop at IKEA on the way. However, we are not allowed to travel over there. We're on their "Covid black list " The tolls are over $20.00 plus gas. I drive a Honda Ridgeline so, gas wasn't too costly if you fill up before you go.
I recently sent Estacion a orchid in high spike. I sent it Monday, 3 day priority. It was very expensive (much cheaper to drive to Hausermann's.) Apparently the plant us lost and from now on I ship Fed Ex.

Didn't know that Illinois had a state quarantine list. CA doesn't have any travel restrictions for people coming into the state as far as I know but I think some states have restrictions for Californians who want to travel to those states (14 day quarantine).

Illinois has a quarantine order for 30 some states. They make an allowance for school and work.

I may need to virus test the outsides of the boxes I get from Hausermann.

I had an order a few weeks ago from Hausermann. One plant in particular, the Aerides houlletiana mature size for 40, I was expecting to be just an inch taller like Norman's "premium", but instead I got a stately nearly 2 feet tall plant that looks like an heirloom treasure. It won't fit any pots I have and I have no idea how I'm going to care for it.

Reason: fixed plant name
