jim Marlow is a Saint
Remember I told you about the two plants I recently got from Jim? One was Cattleya nobilior and the other was Cattleya Brazilian Jewel (walkeriana x nobilor)? And remember now the nobilior was fine, but the Brazilian Jewel had suffered severe heat damage?
I emailed Jim and sent him a picture, just so he could know and maybe pay attention to weather, or do whatever he felt he could do to keep this from happening again. I made it clear to him that I was not complaining, and I was not asking or expecting him to do anything about it, because although the plant is going to be ugly for a long time, it isn't going to die.
Well today the mailman knocked on the door and handed me a box from Jim Marlow. It contained a perfect, unblemished Brazilian Jewel in absolute pristine condition. I was blown away. That was so far beyond what he needed to do. I would have been satisfied with, "Hey Jeff, that's rough, I'm sorry that happened, man." I would have been thrilled with "Hey Jeff, why don't you take 15 dollars off your next purchase." It never occurred to me that he might actually send me a whole new plant. I am in awe of this man and his dedication to his customers.
If you've never bought from Marlow, do it. Today. Go to the website right now and place an order. A big one. Like five plants, at least. They'll all be amazing.
So once again, Marlow's Orchids is just too great for me to adequately put it into words, so I'm going to leave a picture. This is the new plant he sent me for free.
