Default Dyakia hendersonianum in bloom.

I lusted after this orchid for a long time before I had the guts to buy it. Finally did a few months ago and placed it in my vivarium. Well it seems as though it liked the place and decided to put out a spike and bloom, no doubt something it was already contemplating by the time I recieved it, I kinda just didnt discourage it.
Sorry not the best pic, could not get camera to focus. Hard to believe it is the same camera and photographer that won a place in the orchid board calendar

Fantastic! Hard to believe mine has two long spikes with over 30 buds that finally decided to expand after sitting for over a month! This guy is very pretty, but really slow growing. May I post my photos in your thread Tindo? Or should I do my own thread?

Here is mine in advanced bud - just about to bloom. If I'm still home next week when this guy opens up the blossoms I'll post an update.

By the way Tindo, why not move this thread to minis show and tell and see if you get any more input?

Thumbs up

Wow this is a beautiful little thing and a new one for me. I have not seen this one before.
I'd like to add this to my list, not that I have any room left
Ya think it would do well outside the terrarium
