Mislabeled Neo. falcata 'Kibana'

So I am really excited because my Neo just bloomed today for the first time under my care. It hasn't developed its fragrance (and I can't wait), but I couldn't help but notice... it doesn't look like a Kibana. I know Kibana changes to a deeper yellow when it starts to fade... but this doesn't look yellow to me. I remember the vendor selling Shutennou, Kibana and Hisui (and I want them all, but I wanted to see if I could bloom my Kibana before I go nuts). Do you think I got a Hisui instead? I still love it though, I'm just surprised.

Congratulations on the beautiful blooms! I can only offer an opinion as my Hisui has yet to bloom, it’s young, and I do not have Kibana.

I think your plants flowers look more the yellow color of Kibana than Hisui. The Hisui is quite green from what I’ve seen. Perhaps the yellow will darken a bit as the flower ages a day or two. I could be mistaken though I understand Kibana does not have a fragrance or at least a very light one.

Oh, that's good to hear! I think you're right. I should be more patient and wait for the color to develop, it just looked really green to me and all of the pictures of Kibanas I find online are really really yellow (and I've never seen them in real life).

And it already has a light fragrance (almost like jasmine, but sweeter). I'll check this weekend if it gets stronger during a specific time of the day.
