Default Can potted vanda seedlings go outside?

Hello, i live in Minnesota. I have a young vanda (1- 2 years until flowering) Tokyo blue and it’s in a plastic pot with bark/ charcoal mix and I’ve been keeping it inside but now that it’s getting warmer my plants are slowing migrating outside. Can I put my vanda outside? How should I care for it if it can go outside? Thank you

Default

Night temperature is the limiting factor. While Vandas wtih V. coerulea in their parentage (this one about 60%) are somewhat cold tolerant, most of the rest of the pedigree of this one is V. sanderiana, which is not. So until nights are pretty certain to stay above 55 deg F (13 deg C) I would suggest keeping this one inside. Outside, filtered sun would be good - it likes a lot of light, but not direct mid-day sun. If in a container that dries quickly, frequent watering... it needs water but wants a wet-dry cycle, not constantly wet.
