Default Ascocenda & Vandas, my new delivery.

The first of two deliveries of some more Ascocendas & Vandas arrived today. I've been waiting for 2 months for these to be released.

Very nice! What held them up, customs?

Looks like you have a ton of the little guys, I don't often have patientce for those, but I guess if you have a large collection it's cool to see a bunch of siblings come up.

What all did you get?

Roy:

Very nice collection. And they look quite healthy for having spent two months in quarantine. May I ask where you imported them from? I've never imported plants, and I've been hesitant to do so based on horror stories that I've heard (which may have been urban legends). But if your experience with such robust plants is fairly typical, that would be pretty encouraging. Congratulations on your haul!

Steve

Fortunately I didn't do the importing. They came thru a specialist Vanda etc nursery. They weren't cheap when you look at the wholesale price from Thailand but you have to buy lots of plants before they will talk to you, I cant do that. The quarantine expenses are very high here also.

I wish I could take in so many vandas! I'm so jealous! I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through the people who live in warmer climates Remember to post lots of pics when they start blooming!
