Vanda insignis. The flowers are 5 to 6 cm and fragrant. This form is especially red for this species.

Thanks jcec1, it is a medium size Vanda. Around 30 to 50 cm. This one is less than 30 and I have another who has bloomed when it was 20 cm.

Thanks - not too large then - I have two seedling insignis hybrids and wondered how big they needed to be before flowering.

What is the fragrance like?

No definitely not big for a Vanda of this section. The fragrance is not very strong but very pleasant. Close to V. limbata one maybe or something like that. Anyway very pleasant.

Wow, what a very nice looking Vanda! I love the color, it nearly completely covers up the typical spots/markings. Does it always blooms such a nice red?

Thanks Camille. Yes, this plant has this specific and unusual color pattern. The other one that I have has the typical yellow background with red markings.
In the other hand, i have seen photos from Flores where the sepals and petals are dull and the lip nearly white !
The species is much more variable that I was thinking before.
