Renanopsis Lion's Splendor
Well, bought this as a small plant in 2011, not much more than 6 inches tall. It grew and grew and grew and never bloomed. It spends Dec-April indoors here in So California and the rest of the year on the patio in partial sun.
Well finally, after 6 years and many feet in height, it finally bloomed this summer, two long spikes. The first spike started blooming in August, and is now at the end in November and the second spike started blooming in Sept and is just now hitting its stride. I'm very happy with this big fella'

Amazing plant if you have the space. Years of good care have been rewarded and it should only get more spectacular as it grows into full size. It isn't even halfway there yet.

Great Fantastic to see one in flower. I guess mine has a bit to grow yet as it is only about 2 and a 1/2 feet tall.

I just recently got one of these too. What do you have it potted in? It was suggested to me that maybe it should be hung like a Vanda rather than potted because the roots like a lot of air circulation. But the guy I bought it from said to plant it in coconut chips. What did you do?
