It is actually not a "special grow bulb" it is marketed as something else, but that is not relevant. I can grow any plant with this pretty reliably as long as it likes bright or moderately bright light. I used to even grow light hungry corals using enough of this kind of lighting (I quit this hobby, it got too expensive).

I am currently using only 1 bulb.
