Default Ascocentrum Ampullaceum

Quite a nice specimen. Had to play around with its location in the greenhouse. It grew well in a cooler section of the greenhouse with good morning-midday sunlight. Great roots but no spikes for a few years. Immediately after moving to the middle section of the greenhouse with all day sunlight and much hotter temperatures, the roots were a bit larger and after just a couple months I had 6-8 spikes.
Safe to say that this one loves higher temperatures with bright extended periods of sunlight and humidity.
Enjoy

Well grown and flowered. As you noted, they do like it warmer.
