Default Question about my Aerides houlletiana

Hi Everyone! I have a question about my Aerides houlletiana. It seems to be happy and growing well....it has produced two new large areal roots and a leaf since I purchased it late last fall. I have read conflicting information on it's culture requirements, so I have been providing it with medium light levels and intermediate conditions. I have it growing in a clay pot with coconut husk fiber. My question is, is when I peak at the roots, they always look green...as in they are moist. I was told to treat this as if it were mounted and water it daily with it being in coconut husk fiber medium. The roots in the pot, never seem to dry out much and I don't want to create root rot. Does any one have any recommendations or should I just keep up my methods with it as is. Right now I water daily or every other day. Also, any other culture recommendations would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

Becca, I don't have this one (one of few I don't have seems to me ) but from all I read on it, you really are looking for a drying of the big roots between waterings. I have found the Angraecoides with large, white, thick roots want to go to white between waterings. Just my take on things. I am constantly moving guys around till I get the right combo of high humidity, yet drying, by moving certain 'chids in front (or in your case below) the fans. Hope this helps.
