They do not necessarily need a fragrance they are lovely just the way are.

If you put it in a higher humidity area you will find out that it has a lovely fragrance. I have this specie, and it flowers in the warmer months and Manhattan has very high humidity in summer that is why I know it has a lovely fragrance.
