Honestly , as I read this thread from the beginning and saw you were in Canada I was like yeah but let's see what it's doing now, sorry for doubting you LOL Anyway it was great to see them doing so well. The leaves have a great color, the roots look awesome and they're spiking again!!!! Congratulations!!!
I'm one of those crazy people who kill the "easy" plants (many a phal has had a sad death in my house) but the "hard" plants do really well. I have no idea why, but hey... I'm not questioning it. I love my vandas

Hey Jerry, the first picture is Ascocentrum... which... I -think Is an Ascocenda x rhyncocentrum. It's the Ryncho part that gives it LOTS of tiny flowers on one spike

I think Shams meant to say Rhyncocentrum (that is what the lilac blossom was called on the first page in the original post) which is a cross between a rhynchostylis and ascocentrum. The Ascocentrum is not a cross, but the Ascocenda (to confuse you more) is a cross of Ascocentrum and Vanda. The Rhynco part probably does help with the flower count, it is very beautiful!

Shams, what size are the flowers on the lilac blossom? You are doing such a good job with all your vandas !

Oh, whoops... that's what I get for being on the OB forum while in class

The flowers themeselves were about... a half inch across? maybe a little bigger? The plant isn't very big to begin with

I do the same thing all the time, except I am at work usually.

Thanks for letting me know about the flowers. I think 1/2 inch sounds good to me!

Default Update!

Lilac Blossom and Princess Mikasa are BLOOMING!

Lilac Blossom's flowers are, as I've said, about a half inch across. Princess Mikasa's flowers are about 2 and a half inches across.

I've also included a picture of a vanda that didn't make it per say.. but had 6 basal keikis that are living off the mother plant. This one is Ascocenda Leenachai x Vanda Adisale, and has pink flowers. Probably will be a wg=hile before I see any...

Seems to be! Looking forward to roots on those top keikis, because there is one little one deep inside the basket that I think might get choked out.
