I LOVE your vandas shams!!! I want one so bad but it probably wouldn't do so good here in the winter. I don't have the great windows you do so I'm sure they wouldn't be happy. But I can live through you so keep posting those great pics!

Default UPDATES!

Ok, well I only have an update on one of my vandas, really Since the last time I posted, both Ascondas have dropped their flowers, and Princess Mikasa has had a miscarriage. Robert's Delight has also has some sad news, as the bud it had blasted... so no flowers till it has aclimated

But.... on the up and up.... Lilac Blossom is officially blooming and it's kind of fragrant too... so cute! can't wait till tomorrow when the blooms are fully open

All these pictures were taken today. The blooms were buds this morning, and were opened by 5pm. Lilac Blossom is in a race to show off, I tell ya! The last one is of how my vandas get to spend every couple of days relaxing. It's a hard life in this house.

Awww...don't fret about the blasted buds...we all go through that at some point. Next time around, you'll get the blooms you were hoping for

The Lilac Blossom seems to be a real cutie...can't wait to see the follow-up

That looks very unusual the way that your vanda is blooming with the one spike at the base and the other several leaves above. Usually when there are two spikes they are at the same location along the stem. It's almost as if a keiki started to develop and turned instead into a flower spike. Very interesting.

Well... some of these guys can tell you how long I had questioned what that bottom spike was! I couldn't figure it out till I saw the buds form

What is Lilac blossom, a mokara or renthara?? Looks very cute whatever it is!

How long do you keep them in the bath? it seems like they like it very much! I kind of drown mine in their plastic pots for about a half hour each day when I get home with a fairly weak fertilizer...
