Aerides odorata & Vanda (Vandofinetia) White Crane
Have these two in bloom, two weeks too late for the New England Orchid Fest.
I have had this Aer odorata for a long time. Last repotted two years ago, at that time it was just starting on the first keiki. It has two BS keikis now, and has started another 4 or 5. This year each of the 3 BS stems have 4 flower spikes.
I have had Vandofinetia White Crate for 3 years. It has bloomed several times before, but with two spikes close together this is the best presentation yet.

Wow wow wow wow wow!!!!!
I LOVE Aerides!!!! I can't say it enough. The scent and shape of the flowers is so tantalizing.
I have one as well but no flowers this year, I've had it for alittle over a year. I soak it daily and try to fertilize it a few times a month.
What is your care? What fertilizer do you use and how often? Are u growing in a greenhouse?
So far I have managed to bloom my Aerides falcata and my Aerides houlitana. By far both on my top 5 favs

I do grow in a GH. I can't go every day, so I grow all my vandaceous plants in:
Basket or net pot (depending upon size of plant), with mix of spaghnum & bark. In small net pots 3:1, in large baskets 1:1.
In winter we water once a week, the rest of the year twice a week.
We use Peters 20-20-20, Dec-Feb once a month, rest of the year every two weeks.

That's a beautifully-grown plant, but for the record, that's neither White Crine nor White Crate. It's White Crane, like the bird.

Yeah, I have been known to type too fast - and not check before posting.
