Finally! Some progress with Vanda Ustii :) Female
Default Finally! Some progress with Vanda Ustii :)

I got this last spring (my first and only vanda until about a week ago), besides losing most of its roots before I decided to grow it bare root, it also dropped 3 leaves. It then proceeded to do nothing for almost a year. I don't know if it's the increased light it receives since we moved last month or the kelp supplement I've added to my fertilizing regime (or the combination...), but the existing top 2 leaves have both grown about an inch in the last month and a half and over the past week I have noticed 7 new root nubbins! Earlier I was giving the roots a quick mist and my heart almost stopped...a new leaf is starting to push it's way out!!!
