An absolutely amazing orchid, this one comes from south China/North Vietnam. Its also very resilient and slow growing. I have it in near cattleya light and is now forming a smaller, somewhat deformed flower spike. This one has been blooming for over a month now and is still going strong.

Beautiful. I like mounted orchids better. Waht are the temperature needs for summer and winter? Is it fragrant?

Editing- never mind....found answers to my questions.

I'm quite interested how you have grown yours mounted on a piece of wood. I've got Holcoglossum kimballianum, it is not growing well and is certainly not happy. Think I'm going to mount mine on a piece of drift wood, like you have. How many years have you had it mounted? Doesn't appear to be very sprongly rooted though.

If you check my showcase page you can see how i grow it, but it mainly wants to dry out between waterings. It is actually quite strongly rooted to the mount with only a few roots sprung in the air. I bought it one year ago but the grower said that it stayed only on that mount from the time he deflasked it. As of now, it just dropped its first flower today.
