This is one of my favorites. I have a mature plant (meristem of awarded clone), which was bred with NF as the pod parent. It is showing much more Neo influence on the flowers (photo below).
I have bought a number of seedlings from the current source, which appear to be all with the Renanthera as pod parent, and plant shape confirms this. However, some 10-20% show Neo influence in a different aspect, since they start clumping as seedlings. I am keeping a few of those, but it will be about 2 years before I see them bloom, so I am happy to see your photo.
By the way, mature plants do set branched spikes. With Renanthera pod parent, that might be even more prevalent in this population of plants.
