EVERYONE CHECK FOR SPIKES!!!!
Was just checking my Rhynchostylis coelestis, blue version, and i have 2 spikes just starting to peak out.
Does anyone else have spikes yet??

Mine is spiking as well, it is the season.

Why labeling Rhyncho coelestis "blue" ? Other color than blue are different varieties or forms (mostly forms) who are occasional variants.
The original description and the name by itself specify that Rhynchostylis coelestis is blue (and white). So if you label a plant Rhynchostylis coelestis, it is by definition blue, that is the norm for this species.
When the plant has a different coloration, pink or white then you can add an additional epithet (such as f.alba by example). But as long as the flowers are blue and white it is useless : it is Rhynchostylis coelestis.
