Default Ascocentrum curvifolium

I bought this plant from RF Orchids about 10 years ago. It arrived with 3 BS seedlings in one basket, so I separated them and kept only 1 plant. By now it has grown into 3 BS stems, with two more basal keikis forming now. This year it has two spikes on each of the 3 main stems.

I have just obtained a yellow curvifolium, which I am looking forward to showing in a year or so.

Beautiful color. I don't know why there aren't more of these around.

I think that a lot of people are concerned about the light requirements. Ascocentrums do need high light, but they are easy to bloom in the GH, and not too difficult under lights. I have not tried to grow them on windowsills, but it should be doable in a southern facing window.
