I went back out to my usual vendor this afternoon as i figured that if mine was in bloom, his would be as well. He had about 100 of them out in flower. Mine and his are all identical. not surprising seeing that's where mine came from some time ago.
He sourced all of them directly from Kultana Orchids. I would probably expect Kultana to be correct with this one.
I also found he had tessellata blue x black out in bloom, when compared they really are quite distinguishable.

Also possible that Kultana used a blue/black variant of tessellata instad of the standard as one of the primaries when they crossed with fuchs fuchsia to make the cross.
