Maybe I'll just take it in on the weekends

This is a true Rhy gigantea, but I do not understand the color. Alba = white. I don't know 'Panda', but white x something else should not be saturated red. I suspect that there has been a minor label mixup.

Rhy gigantea HATES being repotted. Select a material that will last for years. Alternatively, put it into a basket with fairly coarse openings. Then, as the potting mix breaks down, carefully remove without disturbing plant & roots, and then repack with fresh mix, using the same basket. It takes a lot of time to repot this way, but it is the only way to keep this plant from sulking 6-15 months each time you repot.

Yes I was just watching a video by MsOrchidGirl and she mentioned that alba = white in Latin.

and I just saw a description for the same alba x "panda" at an Australian online store and it describes it as "Pale pinkish white flowers with some red spotting and having large sepals"
