Vanda tessellata- how young is it?

Here is a picture of my tessellata. How long do you think until it blooms? Vanda Gordon Dillon is behind it, very tiny.

That appears to be a seedling. Expect to wait at least 3 years for bloom.

May nv bloom under such light conditions.

You need to get them to grow up fast and big in order to bloom.

Vanda seedlings will grow very very slowly under low light conditions.

Would be optimistic to say anything less that 5 years & probably 6 years+ for the Gordon Dillon, given that the growing conditions were first class.

My Vanda Arjuna (which tessellata is one of the parents) has taken just under 5 years to reach blooming size. My growing conditions are vanda specific.

Thanks for the ideas on how long it will take. I should have mentioned I took this picture at night and just had a light to take the picture. I grow my Vandas in East/ & South windows/ use outside in summer. I also add my grow light on low light days, they do get very good light, although I doubt they are first class . I bought seedlings of the Tessellata, Gordon Dillon, Robert's Delight 'Blue' and Majik Grace. The GD is by far the smallest. I can't wait to watch them grow.
