I agree with this. If the plant is being watered everyday and its roots are in coconut husk, I believe that it is being over watered. If it is bare root then watering every day is necessary.

Thank you for your for responses. I generally check out the condition of the vanda before watering. It remains generally dry in the mornings. That's when I mist.

I dunked then in the water today morning and interior then for sometime. Will check them again tomorrow morning and then decide. If it's dry, then only I'll water them. Maybe some misting. And then again another dunk the next day.

Will look towards striking a balance.

And, another thing, I've set up the roots u=in such a way that they DO NOT remain buried inside the potting medium (husk, peat or anything). They help retain the water a bit and keeps the whole medium cool. They become totally dry in the mornings, when I water them. Plus, the pot is completely porous and shed away any excess water instantly.

Keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping for the best.
