Holcoglossum wangii
I grow this in full sun in the summer and very close to the lights in the winter. I water daily during the warmer months and 2 or 3x a week in the winter. It's in a plastic vanda basket w/coco fiber and a teeny bit of sphag on the top...the roots dry off fairly quickly.
I got it from Oak Hill a few years back and this is only it's second bloom. Better this year...can't wait for it to get a little more mature. The blooms last quite awhile....I think it's been going strong for about 6 weeks now.
No fragrance that I've been able to detect.

Bummer!! I have critter issues too and some of them have been merciless. Chipmunks being my biggest problem. Well, chipmunks and carolina wrens and chickadees. Chipmunks love roots and spikes and the birds love to pluck sphagnum and coco fiber off my mounts and out of my pots. I have a few mounts that they nearly destroyed 2 yrs ago. I know your pain. GRRRR!
Thanks for the comments, everyone.

Kool. Very nice, do you grow it inside the house? How cool do you keep it during winter, as i heard they are mostly cool growing.
