This is my first time blooming little cutie. I bought this one in June of last year (about 15 months ago). It came in a pot and really didn’t do much. This spring I mounted it on cork with moss and it took off. It attached to the cork in a matter of weeks, and here it is with two spikes with 6 flowers each. The flowers are about 1.5cm across and hang below the foliage. (This photo was taken with the plant upside down

.) It doesn’t seem to be fragrant.
I’m still practicing with my macro lens and seeing how to best capture the “personality” of an orchid . I think this one looks like it’s having a goof time showing off its beautiful blooms.
Gastrochilus [Gchls.] japonicas is also known as the Yellow Pine orchid and the Japan Gastrochilus.
Enjoy!
