I love the Sarc's but they haven't really loved me back. S. falcatus failed to thrive (ok it died) in my grow area. I'd love to see/smell one someday. Thanks for sharing.

Love it! I've got a couple growing mounted on cork with a sphag pad: 2 Sweetheart and one hartmannii. I've bloomed one of the Sweethearts and fell in love this genus. I do have to provide daily water in the summer when they are outdoors.
I got some advice from a really good grower and breeder of Sarcos - no winter rest. Keep moist, cool and bright. Seems to have worked for me so far. I almost killed my harsmannii with a winter rest! Now, it's back with 2 new growths now.

that's correct. Sarcos like year round watering and don't like to be dry. Especially falcatus which is up in the mountains and clouds.

Interesting that most people grow them hanging down but they seem to have their leaves upwards in-situ.
