Default How do you automate your waterings?

For those who have some sort of automated watering system for their Vandas/Asc etc... would you mind sharing your methods?

Like do you have mist heads for humidity? sprinklers for fertilizers?

I would like to do an automatic sprinkler setup, but if people are doing it with other methods, like a pump sprayer, I'd like to hear how that works?

Thanks, Oce

HI I am low tech. what I use is a submersible pump in a 33 gal. trash can for plain water and 2 other containers for the Fert. water and move the pump to it if needed . For Humidity an under bench mist hose aimed low across the floor with a fan blowing thru it also have a mist fan ,problem with it if it hits a plant the lime in the water turns the leaves white Gin

Thanks for the reply, how often do you water them, and do you drench the entire plant or just the root area? It seems you have quite a bit of success in your greenhouse! The birds are also quite need, they're local birds? Do they get to run around in your green house?

Hi , If I can get going early enough in the am . I drown the plants then run extra fans to make sure they are dry by night time , then check Phal. crowns to make sure they don't have water sitting in them before night .
Watering depends on the weather , and what they are growing in or on . Less in winter .
The birds have their own space in the bird room , Would wreck the plants if in the greenhouse . Simon and friend are Alexandrine Parakeets, Psittacula eupatria they are from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to Southeast Asia.
There are a couple of other pictures of local birds I ended up hand feeding . Gin
