Mine have tons of healthy roots.
They must have been just taken out of the greenhouse and forced inside these vases.
I thought about potting them up, but there are way too many roots which are also very long and they will only make many more.
I was totally blinded by their beauty. lol
They are beautiful in those vases though! I think I'd leave them and enjoy the show! If you ever had to take them out of their vases, it looks like it should be fairly easy to do so.
They are both beautiful! I would pull them up so that only the roots are down in the vase, or I will (sadly) guarantee you that it will get fungus. I'll bet with enough water and light you can have these blooming again in 3-4 months.
Oh yes! The vast majority of Vanda hybrids bloom multiple times per year, but I would put money on yours being able to bloom at least twice if not three times (if they get enough light). Yea the trick with getting vandas to bloom is keep them growing fast and give them lots of light.
I guess I have to toss out some cattleyas from my windows then. lol
So, vandas do not follow seasonal changes, but rather flower whenever they have grown enough leaves between segments??
The blue one looks like it flowered for every 6 leaves or so.
Pink one, which I'm in love with, is first flowering.
I only wish the plants were smaller.

Reason: adding info
I wouldn't say they are all free flowering, some are and some bloom by season. But for the ones that are free flowering, yes every 4-6 leaves isn't unusual.
the usual pinks for sale is ascda. princess mikasa. the princess mikasa comes in blue and pink. you can identify an ascda from a vanda by looking at the leaves. the leaves of ascda is much narrower and straight and a little smaller compared to straight vandas. The princess mikasa has vanda coerulea as one of its parents and vanda coerulea is extensively used in breeding for its color, free flowering habit and cool tolerance.
