The world largest orchid got to be this lovely tiger orchid
Grammatophyllum speciosum. In our region, orchidynasty breed one of the most fast growing scented orchid, tiger speciosum.

International orchid grower loves this latter, as it bloom faster than any other orchids if you are in very tropical region. Bloom is 5'' cross and flower in densely brunch, those tiger-yellow brown strip hued flora is very fragrant.

But it sometimes outgrown and invade other shrubs, grow up to about 1 to 2 meter in height. This beauty is easily propagated by divisional stem. Though most of the time we tried pollination failed : (

I love the segmented 'sugar-cane' liked stem that shoot up and up and eventually spike out a scented tiger bloom : )
