Default Small Renanthera citrina in bloom. :)

This is a more recent acquisition, (had it for about a little over 1 week). It was purchased in bud.

When I bought the plant, it was already established onto the bare cork mount it came with. I added some moss to the mount so I could keep this orchid properly hydrated.

Went into full bloom around Wednesday of this week, (May 28, 2014).

This photo was taken today, (Sunday, June 1, 2014).

The plant itself is about 3.5" tall. There are three flowers on the spike. The spike is about 4" long. Flowers are 1.75" tall, and about 1" across. Labellum is 8 mm to 9 mm long.

I expect a more lush display as it gets larger.

Beautiful little flowers.

Nice. Am I assuming you mean 3.5 feet high or 3.5 inch in height? Do u have a pic of the entire plant? Many thanks!

Sure, I have a photo of the entire plant. It wasn't the best photo, so I didn't use it.

And, yes, I meant the plant is 3.5 inches tall, as in 8.89 cm.

It is currently 5.25", (13.33 cm), in width at its widest.

The longest leaves are approximately 7.5 cm from tip to where the leaf connects with the petiole. In other words, 7.5 cm not including the petiole.

Probably a first time bloomer.

Very impressive. Somebody told me that these flower even if its a mere seedling. I love the festive colors and the fragrance. My plant became really tall before it bloomed for me. I waited quite some time.

You lucked out with the fragrance. I couldn't smell a thing on mine.

I tried smelling them when I was home for most of the day, and I couldn't smell a thing, not even during the times of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

I love the ruffles on the lateral sepals.

I hit the "LIKE" button forty times but only one took! LOVE it! I bought one about a month ago from a place in central Florida. It's about 4 feet long. I'd been looking for one of these for some time. Mine is red and the blooms still look brand new. These are really nice orchids. I love the colors on yours!
