Mine is in it's vase, a small greenhouse will bright filtered light and a fan that keeps the air moving. Our nights are a little cool [11c during summer] and the greenhouse helps to add some warmth. I have my cooler growing orchids outside the greenhouse.

I have one thats in a vase and its easier to water. my other vandas however have roots that are hard to put in a vase cause they were grown in a basket so i just hang them and spray everyday. it becomes hard to maintain sometimes but they look really good when they are hanged with the roots dangling.

I have some in baskets because it is easier to hang them in good light, but I think the one in the vase is doing better and doesn't need too much care. If they are bare root you need to water them often. I have some with sphag, charcoal and coconut chunks. Those I mist daily the exposed roots and soak when the medium is dry.
