Some Vanda Questions?

I went to Lowe’s again today and got me another “Baggy Orchid” A Vanda type. The tag says Vanda Roberts Delight ’CrownFox Big Red’ I’m not sure how big this plant will get or the size of flowers but I do like the color. I also have another Vanda type,

Vanda/Ascocenda-V. Doctor Anek FCC/RHT
XV Lacaille( Blue)

I also would like to know how big this one will get and how big the flowers will be? I'm kinda hoping these are the larger type Vandas and not the smaller Hybrids......This Better-Gro company does not have the greatest website for IDing there own products...

The Robert's Delight can get blooms around 5 1/2" across! The Dr Anek holds the same posibilities!

Bright light and LOTS of water for your vandas. Spray them until the white covering on the roots turns green. If it doesn't happen on the first shot, walk away for a few minutes and then go back and give it to them again. Once you've accomplished that, it will most likely not be necessary for the second shot in the future.

Here in Spring Hill, Fl, my vandas get heavily (dripping) misted at least once a day...two or three times a day in summer because they're hanging out in the sun around the pool

The Dr Anek I got about a month ago is a small seedling that I put in a 4 in basket outside its currently growing new roots and getting a reddish caste to it it’s also getting ready to put out a new leaf…if nature doesn’t supply the rain I give it a good soaking.

The Roberts Delight I picked-up yesterday has roots around 10 to 12 inches long it’s a rather large plant considering its another “baggy”….this one I’m hoping is not all that far off from producing some blooms…

I feel in love with these Vanda types one day at Home Depot. They had a gorgeous, huge blue one that I just melted over when I saw it. Unfortunately I couldn’t afford it I’m hoping someone took it home to give it some love and that it wasn’t left to die of neglect at the store.
