Vanda Bangkok Brown
I picked up this plant this weekend at a show. I am partial to this plant and was so happy the vendor had one because mine perished last winter because of a malfunction with our heater. Sorry about the sideways picture.

Looks like it has Denisoniana as one of its parents?

The International Orchid Registry lists Vanda brunnea as the seed parent and Vanda merrillii as the pollen parent, which is why I love this hybird. Vanda merrillii is one of my favorite orchids.

Thank you! If you ever seen one available, it's worth buying because not only is it beautiful, but it's fragrant. It's a good smell that I can't seem to think of the right scents to describe to you.

Adorable flower. The merrilii parent is quite present in characteristics and form. That is a pleasantly fragrant flower quite strong by mid day.

Bud, I'm so happy for your visit and kind words. And I agree that the merrillii parentage is very strong in this plant, which Is what makes me like it so much.
