A fairly young plant, but has very substantial flowers that are very thick and waxy. The lateral sepals are a very lovely deep ruby/maroon red over a pink background, with minimal spotting on the petals and dorsal sepal. The flowers are displayed rather nicely, although i must admit the plant took a beating with all the traveling between the orchid show, my friend who kept the plant for me til i picked it up and now finally at home. I saved this from the lot of hanging vandas we were selling in our tent at the show; it just really stood out to me.
The battle scars are there for sure as there is a missing lip or two and a missing petal from all the packing and unpacking.
