Smile siderea japonica in bloom

i am happy to report that the sedirea japonica that i bought in spike in April of 2013, is now blooming again in March 2014.

Question sunken brown spots on my sedirea japonica

the plant bloomed, but shows signs of a disease. i am thinking it is a virus. if it is, i will have to throw away this plant that actually bloomed and looked healthy for quite a while (about a year). I am looking for expert opinions.

Looks like a bac or fungal infection. Are you wanting to try a treatment since you asked?

I am a little afraid to use cinnamon, I understand it might kill tissue, I would rather avoid introducing strong chemicals in my home. I have been fighting a little battle with mealy bugs by using alcohol and q tips.

I don't think cinnamon will be of much use here. For a bact or fungal rot I'd use clearys or phyton 27, which is copper based.
