Vanda tricolor flowering
The spike is fairly short, but the flowers are wonderfully fragrant (reminds me of grape juice), so no complaints.

Hopefully the next spike will have more flowers than this one. But they manage to scent a fairly large room with their great fragrance.
Now I would like to ask for an opinion on this one. According to the commercial grower this was purchased from, it's supposed to be the variety suavis form of the species. But while V. tricolor is known for having a high degree of variability, these look to me like the standard-flowered form of the species. What do you guys think?

Indeed I´m not an expert on this, but after watch a lot of pics searching for my answers about my own tricolor plant, I think the same as you. But sure Rastafouni and other experts here know the answer. In some place I read that the lip has peculiar differences between suavis and tricolor type.
But after all.... yours is great!!! Congratulations!
