Default Unique Vanda Teres or Papillionanthe Teres

This is really a very elegant looking flower. These guys don't take off blooming until they are of significant height and are swaying in the breeze quite a bit above its point of anchor. These flowers really do look like butterflies in the wind.
This is a unusual and unique form of the 'Bhutan' variety as the lip and throat are a rich golden yellow and the flowers are really quite large which is very uncommon and extremely rare. The terete leaves are very nice and thick and the plant grows very erect and looks very neat in a bed of orchids. Once they start blooming its really hard to stop them.
Enjoy.

Love that lip! I hope one day to see my Miss Joaquim in flower. She is growing nicely but still has a way to go to reach the top of the wall.

Wow! What a beautiful flower! I wish I had the climate to grow these but winter indoor lighting would never make this type of Vanda happy.

Thanks so much everyone for looking and commenting! I actually am very pleased as this was a gift from a fellow grower which had never bloomed before. This is its first blooming and i actually just noticed a third spike today; seems as if its starting to take off!
And the fact that its so unique in that you cannot find this anywhere is amazing.

It was a pleasant surprise for me. Very rare based on al the variations I've seen. Glad you like it. It hasn't stopped spiking and flowering since I posted the pics.

Maybe I'm crazy...but is this one of those Vanda teres/Phal hybrids? I'm seeing some Phal in that flower.
