Thank You for the visit, Ryan!

This is not a hard plant to find. You just follow the culture and you will never go wrong in your environment with all your humidifiers and contraptions. The leaves and roots grow slow so you need to be patient. It took me a couple of years to grow this one big.

Thank You !

not just this plant but all the Rhynchostylis I have bring forth the same fragrance.

That's good to know. I don't have any other rhynchostylis, but I do have an aeridovanda and a Rhychorides that may be fragrant, I hope. They are just little fellows, so it will be a while before I know.

Just once I wish an orchid would suck, be uninteresting and just the ugliest thing in the world so I wouldn't want to grow it. But no...they're all amazing and I want them all.

oh well...you haven't seen a Bulbophyllum Phalaenopsis flower yet and smelled it....it looks like a redorange hairy martian alien and smells like rotten roadkill....but the leaves are majestic humongous Phal leaf that's why it is still in my collection

I could forgive Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis for looking like a hairy martian, but not if it smells like road kill.

its that road kill with maggots on the highway on a hot summer day and the wind just sends the waft of decaying meat smell that makes you hurl....

* I find anyone who grows this plant really brave and with strong stomach.

Gorgeous, Bud! My favorite color form of this species, that's going to be amazing with a few more years under your care. I have a small seedling that's been limping along for a couple of years, seeing yours has inspired me to start treating mine a little better...
