Here's a pic of the latest bud on my Haraella odorata/retrocalla. It's in my paludarium, and this is the second bloom off of the first spike since I moved to a more accessible location. It's such an easy growing plant for me, and is theoretically compatible with so many other excellent species that I wanted to be able to pollinate it easily. It used to be down low under a partial overhang with water intermittently trickling over it, and it did great. However the flowers tended to get beaten up a bit by the dripping water, and it was inconvenient to reach for pollination. I moved it to the very top of the enclosure, with its roots in a channel which intermittently floods but no water dripping from above. I was worried about it getting too much light, but by having it all the way up it's outside the cone of greatest intensity and all the light it gets is scattered. Oh and by the way.....
