Vanda lamellata

I bought one, sort of an afterthought, from a Thai vendor at the NY Orchid Show about 8 years ago.

It has bloomed several times, and turned out to be a very pale version of variety boxallii (albescent according to Martin Motes). I took it to judging a couple of years ago, where it got a 79 pt HCC.

It is in bud again, and should make it to the Deep Cut show in NJ in two weeks.

It is a well known clone and we also have plants imported from Thailand years ago.

Nice Pheli is that variety of lamellata of Taiwan origin? I have not seen any like that here in Australia. Here is one of my lamellata recently flowered.

The clone may be called boxallii which is said to be native to the Philippines.

Thanks Pheli my other lamellata here I purchased as variety remediosae I will have to wait for flowers to confirm if it is correctly labelled.
